DA Cliff Riedel Creates False Narrative to 'Clear' Violent CSU Officer

The 'ring of corruption' starts with Riedel's allegiance to Colorado State University and the Fort Collins police state. Why is Phil Morris never prosecuted for his crimes?

Front end of police vehicle entering lower end of image from the edited Coloradoan footage.

According to the edited body camera footage from the Coloradoan, Jeremy Holmes is walking peacefully on West Prospect just prior to CSU Phil Morris jumping out of his vehicle with his gun aimed at Jeremy.

Please note the red traffic lights at the corner of Prospect and Center Ave.

The only entrance to Aggie Village is located at the corner of Prospect and Center Ave. According to this footage, Jeremy has walked past the only entrance to Aggie Village and is approaching the corner of Whitcomb and West Prospect. He’s walking west on Prospect.

Jeremy is walking away from Aggie Village. Jeremy Holmes never entered Aggie Village. He walked by the only two entrances to the Aggie Village Complex and was leaving the area. Morris jumps out of his vehicle with his gun out and then kills Jeremy. Witnesses heard Jeremy scream but his scream is not in the footage.

After 19 year old Jeremy Holmes was shot to death six times on July 1, 2017, the District Attorney published his assessment of the crimes that Jeremy Holmes ‘supposedly’ committed while begging to die. CSU & the DA refused to release the body camera footage for four months. They only released an edited version to the Coloradoan and denied copies of the footage to Jeremy’s mother. There has never been a forensic analysis of this footage.

District Attorney Reidel & CSUPD Worked Quickly to Generate a False Narrative.

In the DA’s Opinion dated July 18, 2017, Reidel made a number of false statements in order to ‘demonize’ Jeremy and justify his slaughter by Officer Phil Morris. Here’s screenshot from the DA’s Opinion: The Jeremy Holmes Letter:

Pay attention to the subtle manipulation of language applied to just these two sentences. This report actually states that Jeremy was walking ‘westbound’ on Prospect St. This report also states in the same sentence that Jeremy was approaching Aggie Village Apartments. This is an absolute contradiction!

Jeremy could never ‘approach’ and enter Aggie Village walking ‘west’ on Prospect. This is not an ‘error.’ This is an intentional obfuscation that is applied throughout the whole report.

Officer Phil Morris never ‘intercepted’ Jeremy Holmes approaching Aggie Village. This is a blatant lie that was manufactured to create a narrative that would support Morris’s illegal and violent confrontation of a suicidal teenager. Jeremy was walking down the street peacefully and never harmed anyone.

This false statement was reported and documented by the DA in order to protect and ‘clear’ a violent, brutal police officer. There is a ‘ring of corruption’ embedded in Fort Collins and Colorado State University. They lie and alter body camera footage in order to protect government employees. Riedel has been doing this for decades.

The Fort Collins DA Has a History with Colorado State University & Morris

These are just a few of the ‘players’ who have been operating in a criminal law enforcement ring embedded in Fort Collins

Fort Collins District Attorney Cliff Riedel ‘cleared’ Colorado State University Campus Police Officer Phil Morris of a brutal attack on a CSU employee in 2014.

Witness Statements From Morris’s Attack on a CSU employee in 2014

“I don’t know much about police brutality but if I were to say something was police brutality, it would be what I just witnessed,” Gregory wrote.

“As he tried to get off his bike the police officer threw him off his bike and almost broke his arm,” wrote senior Matthew Reese. “It all seemed very excessive and unnecessary.”

“CSU senior Thomas Giambri also wrote that he thought Streater’s arm might have been broken by Morris’ use of force.”

CSU Police Chief supported Morris’s brutal behavior against Joseph Streater. DA Riedel ‘cleared’ Morris even with witness statements from three different individuals.

What Does That Tell You?

The Police and DA are working to protect each other against the Public. They are never held accountable for their crimes. Please watch this mini documentary that demonstrates the DA intentionally created a false narrative in the homicide of 19 year old Jeremy Holmes.

Jeremy Holmes did not deserve such a brutal and inhumane death. Morris was still screaming at him while he lay bleeding to death on the sidewalk (Officer Katie Aron’s video).
